About

About the destination

Santa Teresa is a small town in Puntarenas Province, Costa Rica, located about 150 kilometers (93 miles) west of the capital city of San José. Like other coastal villages on the Nicoya Peninsula, Santa Teresa began as a remote fishing village that relied on agriculture, cattle ranching, and small-scale fishing. Today, tourism is the main source of income for most families.
