Santa Catalina Panama

Santa Catalina is a small coastal town in Panama, well known for its waves and for its direct speedboat connection to the impressive Coiba Natural Park. Although it has just over 400 inhabitants, around 100 of whom are foreigners, the town offers several types of accommodation, some restaurants and a couple of nightclubs, as well as diving schools and agencies that organise tours to Coiba. An interesting fact about Santa Catalina is that there are no ATMs, and there are only two small shops with basic products, similar to mini‑supermarkets.
