Tortuguero Costa Rica

Tortuguero is a quaint fishing hamlet situated in the extreme northwest corner of Costa Rica, nestled on a slender strip of land between the Caribbean Sea and the Tortuguero Canal. It is one of the most secluded locations in Costa Rica, reachable only by boat or airplane. The primary reason most individuals journey to Tortuguero is to witness turtles laying eggs on the beach and to explore Tortuguero National Park. This park is among the most frequented national parks in Costa Rica. Tortuguero is the epitome of a tropical rainforest, a patchwork of small canals and deltas, a treasure trove of exotic wildlife, a vast stretch of seemingly infinite sandy beach, and a haven of tranquility. Tortuguero is the embodiment of pure nature.
